Manage the safe and effective operation of Process Plant Production, Metallurgy, Assay Lab through implementing operational excellence activities.
Manages the Process Plant Maintenance and Engineering for the consist and continuous plant operations, including Capex improvement projects.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Provide Leadership to the Department
Drive standards by incorporating international best practices.
Manage and ensure that all policies, procedures, and processes are maintained and are in line with international standards.
Risk and safety management.
Ensure that all Departments information systems are updated and able to provide a flash report that will reflect the current and accurate information on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Department administration and human resources management.
Setting goals and strategies in line with the organizational goals and objectives, motivating and monitoring work performance of the Departments reporting into this position.
Motivate and monitor work performance in line with mining operational objectives.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly reviews on performance / production targets to advise and communicate the tracking towards the ultimate goals set.
Monthly review to measure targets and to revisit target deadlines so they are met.
Prepare, implement, and control Financial Budgets.
Management of National employees for uplift with personal / professional development.
Implement Fundamental Maintenance and Engineering review and improvement plan via third party.
Manage and provide engineering compliance for the TMF facility and overall operational water balance.
Manage power generation for the property and encourage reduction in generator emissions through solar plant optimization.
