Addis Ababa Hotels Association (AHA) was established in 1997 as a non-profit employers association under the name Ethiopian Hotels and Restaurants Employers Association. Its founders’ goals were to establish an  Association that would support the industry with the highest quality services and resources available. However, due to the enormous changes of the past decade, the Association members felt the need for it to
revamp, anticipating and meeting the growing and changing needs of its members and the city.

For this specific reason, the Association is reenacted and rebranded in the year 2012. The new Addis Ababa Hotels Associations governed by a 7 – member Board of Directors. AHA is set to represent the collective industry interests of member hotels in Addis Ababa on a variety of public affairs and governmental matters.

In addition, in the last five years, the Addis Ababa hotel industry has witnessed a remarkable period of growth. With the opening of the new Millennium Hall in 2007 and the new African Union compound in 2012, the city is becoming a major player in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibition tourism (MICE) segment in the continent.

With this in mind, the Addis Ababa Hotels Association is committed tohelping our members by providing services and programs that encourage and strengthen the logging industry across the city.
