The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church of St. Gabriel (Debre Menkrat Saint Gabriel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church) strives to fulfill the spiritual needs of its members by providing spiritual services in a manner consistent with the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church’s faith, values, and tradition. Also, our church teaches the five pillars of mystery (Trinity, incarnation, baptism, Eucharist/holy communion, and resurrection of the dead) and the creed (prayer of faith). Furthermore, the faithful must keep the Ten Commandments and the six parables of Jesus Christ. We emphasize the importance of teaching and understanding the Holy Scripture as the basis of Knowing God and the experience of meaningful and productive Christian life
