The Embassy of The Republic of South Sudan in Norway is the only mission that covers all Nordic Countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark , Finland and Iceland, and provides all Consular services both to South Sudanese diaspora in Nordic Countries and visiting nationals to South Sudan, whether officials, NGO, Investors and Tourist alike.

The mission has a strategic and historical significance between South Sudan and Norway in particular and Nordic countries in general. Norway and South Sudan has a special bilateral and friendly relationship dating back to the history of the struggle of the people of South Sudan from 1972 Addis Ababa Accord and Comprehensive Peace Agreement 2005 and during the Implementation of (CPA) where Norway played a significant role through humanitarian assistance; development assistance; during the war, and peace process period (CPA) ; state and nation building process of the newest nation state in 21 Century 2014. This solidarity had won the hearts and minds of the people of South Sudan and the leadership and cemented South Sudan and Norway bilateral unique relationship
