About Lesotho Embassy in Rome
The Lesotho Embassy in Rome conducts diplomatic relations with the Republic of Italy covering both the bilateral and multilateral activities. The bilateral cooperation includes political, economic, educational and exchange activities. The multilateral work involves international food security organisations based in Rome being, UN Agencies which are: The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The Mission’s diplomatic scope of work also extends to eleven (11) other countries of accreditation. In these countries the primary role of the mission is to foster and promote vibrant diplomatic relations, maintain the highest quality in terms of mutually beneficial economic and political arrangements, in keeping with Lesotho’s domestic and foreign policy.
Lesotho-Rome is also accredited to the following countries; Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Macedonia, Romania, Slovak Republic, Turkey, Serbia and Montenegro. The Mission is also assigned to Albania and San Marino.
The Embassy provides consular services, including visas for visitors to Lesotho.
