About Nurses Training College, Ho

The college started as a Nursing Assistant Training School in March 1964 to prepare students to provide general nursing care.

On the 10th of May 1965 the Community Health Nursing Training School, a 3rd school of its kind in the country was started in Ho with 30 trainees under the World Health Organization (WHO) project on the training of Community Health Nurses.

Miss Kutty Aley Chacko (WHO Nurse educator) took over the management of the school on 12th April 1965 with the support of Mrs. Theresa Dosoo (Reg. PHN).
