Awazé is the first Ethiopian restaurant in Amersfoort. Ethiopian cuisine has its own unique style and taste and it has been my wish for a long time to introduce Amersfoort to this. Vegan dishes are a regular and important part of Ethiopian cuisine.

The basis of Ethiopian food is ‘injera’, a kind of thin pancake made from a slightly sour dough. All delicious dishes are served on this and you eat them by always taking something with a piece of injera and eating it – so no cutlery needed!
