The idea of ​​this place was born from the intuition of our parents back in 1996.

Ezio Vivaldo (Italy) and Tewolde Haregu (Eritrea) were pioneers and precursors of all that many

of you mean it as “ethnic restaurant”.

Thanks to them, it was possible to find the cuisine of the Horn of Africa and beyond,

proposed on the tables of a restaurant in a very familiar environment.

From 2001 onwards we have taken the reins of the place trying to improve what is good for mine

parents had already done it.

I always thought that a classic Eritrean or Ethiopian restaurant would not survive in the

jungle of Turin restaurants. So I began to think of an African restaurant that could manage

transmit culture and not just food and that could push itself beyond the Abyssinian borders.

I use the plural because in recent years the collaboration of my brother Neil has been added

which is introducing a more fusion point of view in our kitchen, where you can savor more cultures

and be able to find them combined in a single dish.

I hope that my introduction could have been of help to you to be able to better grasp the spirit of
