Mesob is the traditional Eritrian and Ethiopian table made of woven straw. It is hourglass shaped and circular as people sit around it to eat together the traditional Eritrean and Ethiopian ways. It has a lid that is kept on it until time to eat. When the food is ready, the top is picked up by the mesob and the plates of food are placed in the mesob.
