Abyssinia is a cosy, small restaurant/eatery in Amsterdam Oud-West where all attention is given to the guests. Here you can taste the atmosphere of the real hospitable Eritrea.

There are candles and napkins on dark brown tables, but cutlery is missing. The food is grabbed with a piece of injera (a type of yeast pancake), instead of pricked with a fork.

All dishes are authentic Abyssinian and range from simple, flavorful to festive meals eaten at weddings and festivities.
